The art of woodmaking is alive and well in Gubbio. Workshops, large and small, the restoration of antiques, as well as production of new furniture pieces have always been around. The modern market is especially centered on the reproduction of historic furniture.
Today, there are two schools that train budding carpenters to the building and restoration of furniture and which still are a part of the University of Carpentry.
